Airport community funds
The Communities Trust distributes grants through a network of airport community funds at each of the following airports — Aberdeen, Glasgow, Heathrow and Southampton.
Each local community fund is governed by a panel of local people working on behalf of the Trust and can make grants of up to £5,000 for community projects which:
- Create learning opportunities for young people and raise their aspirations;
- Break down barriers to employment through skills development;
- Help protect the environment;
- Support staff active in the community.
Each local panel will meet at least three times a year to consider grant applications.
