Heathrow Community Fund – Communities for Youth

The Communities for Youth programme offers grants of between £2,501 and £25,000 for local groups around Heathrow, including charities, voluntary groups and schools, who are delivering projects linked to education and economic regeneration.

The grants are intended to benefit those communities most closely affected by Heathrow’s operations.

Awards will be made twice a year for projects focused on two themes:

To create learning opportunities for young people and so raise their aspirations - This could be informal learning outside the classroom or could be offering young people new experiences and challenges that will increase their life skills and confidence.
To break down barriers to employment through skills development - This could offer young people in school or those that have left opportunities to learn practical skills or to improve their life skills and employability.

Who can apply

The scheme is open to local authorities, schools, charities and community groups** within the 5 local boroughs closest to Heathrow – Hounslow, Hillingdon, Spelthorne, Slough, Ealing.

**applicant groups must be constituted and have a 2 signatory bank account.
